Made a visit to the hot new store on everyones lips, Koskela. If you haven't picked up a lifestyle magazine in the past few weeks, Koskela is a furniture/home ware store owned by Russel Koskela and Sasha Titchkosky. Russel designs Quadrant soft a relaxed lightweight sofa system, a little Le Bambolesque but better  and environmentally friendly recycled timber pieces. If dollars weren't an issue our house would be decked out in the magical four poster beds and bench seats that scatter the huge space the Koskela occupies.

One of my favourite crafts women Carla De Jong, has many of her wood turned pieces in store. Carla is one of the most incredible toy makers you will ever come across. I recently did a Waldorf doll making course with her and made a few purchases from her home store. She doesn't sell wholesale so Koskela sells her products for twice as much as she does. Save your self a penny and pay her a visit here. Her toy tree houses appear at the Australian Museum in the kids space area if you want take them for a test run.

Koskela is really worth a visit, make it around lunch time as Kitchen by Mike, the in-store restaurant is delicious and affordable.

P.S. sorry for the quality of the pics - iPhone.

  1. Thanks for the sneak peek. I'm heading across to the dark side with a couple of friends on Wednesday. A fabulous coffee will top it off! How gorgeous is that bed in the first shot. Love it. And would like a house designed around it. Pxxx

  2. Hi Prue, I went alone but really wished a had taken a friend to ohhh and ahhh with! There are so many great books and bits as well that I didn't photograph, felt a bit cheeky shooting what I did. I did make a purchase of two balls of Zpagetti and a crochet needle. Have fun. x
